Get ready to rev up your festival vibes because Big Red Bash is back with a twist! Originally set to light up Birdsville's desert landscapes, the world's most remote music festival is on the move after Mother Nature threw a watery curveball their way. A massive downpour, the likes of which locals haven't seen since the legendary floods of 1974, has turned the festival grounds into a splash zone!
But fear not, music fans! The legendary three-day desert festival is all set to keep the rhythm alive. Organizers are working closely with locals to find a nearby dry spot to plant their roots and raise those festival flags high. The term 'the show must go on' has never been truer.
Taking a rest last year to recharge, Big Red Bash (which kicked off back in 2013 with John Williamson’s iconic tunes) is ensuring that this year's festival will be worth the wait. The mega lineup for July 7-9 in the newly dubbed ‘Bashville’ is nothing short of epic: Get hyped to groove with ARIA Hall of Fame rockers Missy Higgins and Hoodoo Gurus at the helm. The weekend will also feature other incredible acts, including The Teskey Brothers, The Living End, Birds of Tokyo, Kate Ceberano, The Whitlams, and Jessica Mauboy.
So pack your bags, your sunscreen, and dive boots—because this year’s Big Red Bash is ready to make music history once again!
