Mumford & Sons Electrify SNL with Surprise Star Power

Guess who’s back in the TV spotlight? Mumford & Sons just stormed into Studio 8H on Saturday Night Live on February 28th, bringing a whirlwind of music and famous friends. Returning for the fourth time, they weren’t just about the tunes—they had a surprise guest that no one saw coming!

The folk-rockers had the crowd buzzing when their long-time chart-darling collaborator Hozier stepped out. Together, they performed their mega-hit ‘Rubber Band Man,’ a fire track that's been lighting up the Adult Alternative Airplay chart at No. 1 for a cool ten weeks. Talk about a showstopper!

This was the band’s first SNL gig in eight whole years, with their last epic appearance way back in 2018. Adding Hozier to the mix definitely made it a night to remember.

Hosting the show was 26-year-old Canadian sensation Connor Storrie. Fans of HBO Max’s Heated Rivalry will know him as Shane Hollander, and he nailed his SNL debut! His monologue was gold—literally. He brought out the U.S. women’s Olympic hockey champs and poked fun at the men’s team's dry spell in winning gold. The skit had everyone cracking up!

One sketch had us all sharing and talking: A hilarious scene filmed at the Rink at Rockefeller Center featured Storrie with his Heated Rivalry co-star, Hudson Williams, unexpected and skating onto our screens! These rival hockey players’ on-screen reunion was epic!

Williams, ever the crowd-pleaser, returned to help intro Mumford & Sons, amping up the energy even more. Besides the smash ‘Rubber Band Man,’ Mumford & Sons treated fans to jams from their latest album, Prizefighter—including bangers like ‘The Banjo Song’ and ‘Here.’ It was a mix of vibe and voices that had everyone in Studio 8H on their feet!
