Tool Teases New Music and Epic Las Vegas Shows!

Tool is back in action! The legendary prog-metal band is getting ready to blow our minds with new music, and drummer Danny Carey dropped some exciting news! In a lively chat with Spiral Out Network, Carey revealed that the band is hard at work on fresh tunes, aiming for a 2027 release. ‘Keeping busy, you know, just working on a lot of new Tool songs right now,’ Carey shared with excitement.

But that’s not all! Tool is in talks for a jaw-dropping residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, where their epic live shows can reach new heights. Carey, a fan of the venue, said, ‘We’re hoping when we release a new record, maybe do a stand at the Sphere...’ Imagine the visuals!

Tool’s bassist Justin Chancellor also gave us hope for the future last year – the band’s follow-up to their 2019 hit album Fear Inoculum is in progress! Will they go for a full album drop or tease us with one song at a time? Only time will tell, but Chancellor is thinking maybe even releasing new hits like a classic 7” vinyl single!

Meanwhile, did you catch their cover of Black Sabbath’s ‘Hand of Doom’? In an Ozzy Osbourne tribute, they nailed it and even sparked ideas for pairing new tracks with classic vibes. Stay tuned, because Tool’s already got a long list of accomplishments, including five albums and four Grammy awards, with more to come!
