Hey there, music lovers! If you've been vibing to the hottest tracks from Asylum Records, then you’ve definitely felt the magic of Kabiru Bello, Warner Music’s Head of A&R for EMEA. After eight incredible years of shaping tracks and discovering talents, Bello is saying goodbye to Warner Music and hello to his next epic adventure!
In an inspiring note to the Warner fam, Bello wrote, “After eight amazing years at Warner Music, I’ve decided to move on.” It's the end of a chapter, but also the start of a thrilling new story for this A&R genius.
Bello’s journey began in 2017 when he rocked the industry by joining Warner Music Sweden. Just a year later, boom! He launched Asylum in the Nordics, signing hits like 1.Cuz, A36, and Cherrie, making waves all across Europe.
Fast forward to 2022, Bello was soaring higher as VP of Global A&R. His knack for meshing sounds and cultures has made him a superhero in the music world. Warner Music’s big boss Simon Robson said it best: “[Bello] fostered unique connections that led to unforgettable music.”
Even though the Warner crew will miss him, we can't help but be excited about what he’ll do next. “In today’s world, where music meets tech and human vibes, Bello's made a real difference,” Robson added. It’s clear Bello is all about connecting communities, creating global hits, and inspiring artists everywhere!
Originally a self-made artist and entrepreneur—Bello started 20/20 Records way back in 2008—his story reminds us all to keep dreaming big and breaking boundaries.
As Bello steps out to write his next chapter, we’re buzzing to see how he’ll continue changing the music scene. Whatever he does, you can bet it’s gonna be legendary!
