Jimmy Kimmel Honors Late 'Best Bro' Cleto with Heartfelt Fundraisers

Hey, Twamorrow Tribe! We've got some heartwarming news from late-night funnyman Jimmy Kimmel. In a super touching move, Jimmy has kicked off two epic fundraisers to remember his childhood buddy and longtime show bandleader, Cleto Escobedo III, who sadly passed away at just 59.

In a heartfelt message with some adorable family and doggo pics, Jimmy shared, “Cleto was always a champ when it came to kindness and helping others. We’re grieving, but let’s celebrate him by giving back!”

First up is the UCLA Medical Center. Cleto got stellar treatment there, and now Jimmy wants our help to support patients and families who are going through a tough time.

And because Cleto loved furry friends as much as any meme lover, there's also love for @TheAnimalFoundation in Las Vegas. Jimmy wants us all to show some love to the place where he and Cleto grew up and help pets in need find forever homes.

Having spent his final days at UCLA Medical Center due to complications after a liver transplant – which led to cardiogenic shock – Cleto's spirit now lives in all the lives we touch through these thoughtful fundraisers.

On the night Cleto passed, an emotional Jimmy took to his monologue, breaking down as he remembered his dear friend as “the nicest, most humble, and genuinely funny dude.” Jimmy reminisced about their amazing journey, stating, “He was the ultimate big bro – no fuss, just pure love.”

Let’s all rally together and make Cleto’s legacy shine brighter. Rock on with kindness, Twamorrow fam!
