OutKast Takes the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by Storm!

The iconic rap duo OutKast, made up of André 3000 and Big Boi, just scored a major accolade by getting inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! On Saturday, Nov. 8, the theater was buzzing in Los Angeles as music stars like Doja Cat, Killer Mike, J.I.D, Tyler, the Creator, Janelle Monáe, and Sleepy Brown joined Big Boi to perform some of OutKast’s biggest hits.

Before the party started, Big Boi kicked off their acceptance speech in the coolest way imaginable – with a game of rock-paper-scissors with André 3000 to decide who spoke first! And when André took the mic, he got real about what makes their music so legendary, giving shout-outs to everyone from family to the entire Dungeon Family crew, who came from Atlanta to stand by their side.

Among the electric performances was Doja Cat owning the stage with “Ms. Jackson” like a queen, while Tyler, the Creator amped it up with “B.O.B. (Bombs Over Baghdad).” Then, Janelle Monáe gave us all the feels with a joyful rendition of “Hey Ya!” complete with dazzling dancers. It was music magic, even without André 3000 performing live!

Big Boi, along with Sleepy Brown, cranked up the energy with “The Way You Move” against a backdrop of an epic 12-piece band, while the night closed with a bang when Killer Mike, Doja Cat, J.I.D., Tyler, the Creator, Sleepy Brown, Monáe, and Big Boi all came together for the grand finale, “The Whole World.”

Donald Glover set the stage with a brilliant intro, celebrating the duo’s groundbreaking journey from Atlanta to the world’s spotlight. OutKast’s influence has carved a huge space in music history, inspiring everything from the sound of funky beats to how hip-hop tells stories. What a night to remember!
